Built On Vanuatu Ground, Run For Vanuatu Projects

Kapiel Aggregates Limited is a Port Vila based quarry and aggregate supply company serving contractors, developers and public infrastructure programmes across Vanuatu.

Company Background

A Local Supplier For Local Construction

Kapiel Aggregates Limited was established to give Vanuatu's construction sector a dependable source of crushed rock, gravel and sand without relying on imported material. Operating out of our office at Raffea House on Lini Highway in Port Vila, the company manages quarry extraction, crushing and screening, and delivery logistics as a single operation, which lets us keep grading and supply decisions in one place rather than passing material through multiple intermediaries.

The business is structured around the practical needs of the contractors who buy from us: predictable grading, honest stockpile management, and a delivery process that fits around road and building programmes rather than the other way around. That orientation has shaped every part of how we run the quarry, from how we bench the extraction face to how we schedule trucks.

Mission

Why We Do This Work

Our mission is straightforward: keep Vanuatu's construction projects supplied with aggregate that meets specification, on a timeline the project can build around, without cutting corners on the site the material comes from.

Safety

Extraction, crushing and haulage are managed with defined procedures for bench stability, plant guarding and vehicle movement, because a quarry that is unsafe for its own workforce cannot be trusted to supply anyone else.

Reliability

Projects are planned in weeks, not days. We hold stockpiles against known demand and communicate early when weather or logistics affect a delivery window, rather than letting a contractor find out at the truck gate.

Quality

Grading is checked against defined size classes at the screen, not estimated by eye at the truck. A load that does not meet the class it is sold as does not go out.

Operational Approach

How We Run The Quarry Day To Day

  • Extraction is planned in benches to keep the working face stable and to manage the site progressively rather than opening ground faster than it can be safely worked.
  • Crushed and screened material is stockpiled by size class, so a contractor ordering a specific grade receives consistent material across an entire order, not a single sampled load.
  • Delivery scheduling for road and building contracts is coordinated directly with the contractor's programme, including transport arrangements for material moving beyond Port Vila.
  • Drainage, dust control and stockpile bunding are treated as ongoing site management tasks, not a one-time setup step.
Leadership Contact

Andrew Thompson

Andrew Thompson is the primary contact for supply arrangements, technical grading questions and general enquiries at Kapiel Aggregates Limited. For contractors planning a road, drainage or building project that requires a defined tonnage of crushed rock, gravel or sand, Andrew is the right point of contact to work through material specification and delivery scheduling.

Serving The Islands

Beyond Port Vila

Wide view of the quarry rock face and equipment that supplies material for projects across the islands

While our quarry and yard are based in Port Vila, we regularly plan deliveries in support of projects elsewhere in Vanuatu. Outer island supply requires longer lead times for transport coordination, and we work with contractors to set realistic delivery windows once vessel or barge scheduling is factored in, rather than promising a date that logistics cannot support.

We see this as part of the same commitment that drives the Port Vila side of the business: material and information a contractor can plan around, wherever the project sits in the archipelago.
